Heading towards the end of the year

Having slowly got back into matched betting I now need to find additional ways of gaining some extra pounds. I really need to get back into trading so hopefully I can start to find the time at the weekend to start looking at the markets and having a practice on training mode on the trading software I bought a long time ago.

More Travelling to Southampton next week so all travel has been booked using Quidco, It seems as if I always have £200 in tracked activity. This all comes from work travel, I also do not book return tickets back from London Euston, I buy a single ticket through Quidco and pick them up from the station to gain the extra cashback. This usually adds an extra £7 ish onto the days total.

I have signed up to a survey panel website yesterday following reading the forums on moneysavingexpert.com so hopefully an additional income comes from this and combine with Shoppix it should add a few extra pounds.

I still need more ways to up the additional cash, my current account pays a shocking interest rate and I have some savings so I should change saving accounts to max the interest rate

I also need to review the saving accounts and potential invest the money into a stocks and shares ISA or even into some shares. I am hoping I can find some advice and information online for this.

Continuing this week with the match betting I signed up a new account with Expekt last weekend and then on wednesday I received an email saying they were closing all UK accounts as of the 31/10/19. No pressure then! I found a close match for the free bet on the Arsenal game in the Euopa League and cashed out for £7.50 profit overall.

There are still a fair few bookies still to work through and I have found a list of bookies that offer weekly free bets, I need to start working through these to gain some extra pounds.

Quick update

No sooner had I posted my last entry, quidco paid some additional cashback that could have added to my overpayment to the mortgage and save some additional interest.

This is just a quick update as I am off to Southampton with work again, all booked through Quidco which will keep the cashback stream coming.

I'm really getting into the matched betting again and I have found once I have been logging into the bookie accounts I have been receiving free bets via email. 

I have submitted our ATOL claim for our Tomas Cook holiday, hopefully this gets resolved quickly and the money gets returned sooner rather than later. The cost of holidays has certainly rocketed which is a shame so we will have to hold off booking anything until the prices come down or we save up more money. I think it will be more of a case that we look for a cheaper holiday.

Work trips are also keeping the cashback flowing, I seem to have a constant £200 as pending cashback. Hopefully this continues as it is a steady stream of payments into the fund.

Finding it difficult to use shoppix with a broken camera, I have to use my tablet to take the pictures of the receipts, it generally means I forget to do them on that day so I loose tokens. 

If anyone has any further ideas on making additional money then please drop me a line. I am thinking about stoozing with credit cards if anyone has any advice on where to start from me a reply I would love to chat.

Tuck shop

The tuck shop is turning profits over, the problem is everyone pays in change and I have to change it somehow. I have started to swap the change for Notes to use when paying for Taxi's for work as Taxi drivers generally like change. It still leave lots of 5p's etc to work out what to do with them. I think I will count them out into multiples of £5 and use them on the self service tills at the supermarkets when buying stock.
